Roger Victor, chief investigator for the Fayette County Coroner's Office, said the man's identity was withheld pending family notification.
According to Victor, the man was traveling west on Redstone Way when he lost control of his vehicle.
The vehicle ran off the road and traveled about 100 feet up a steep embankment before rolling several times, Victor said.
Officials said early investigations indicate speed was a factor in the crash.
Victor said the man was partially ejected from the vehicle. The man was not wearing a seatbelt and was the sole passenger in the car, according to officials.
Fayette County Deputy Coroner James Bittner pronounced the man dead at the scene at 1:09 a.m. Sunday.
Victor said an autopsy will not be conducted but said toxicology tests will be done.
Redstone Township Police and state police were on scene investigating.
Republic, Allison 1 and Brownsville volunteer fire departments assisted police on scene.
No other information was available Sunday.
